Parity (mirror transformation) is the change in the algebraic sign of the coordinate system.

The wavefunctions representing quantum particles behave in different ways upon parity transformation.

The parity (mirror) transformation changes a right-handed coordinate system into a left-handed one or vice versa.

Since two operations of the parity(mirror) transformation restores the coordinate system to its original state, nature should be oblivious to whether the coordinate system was right-handed or left-handed. Believe it or not, nature is not that simple. Some times somehow it routinely  remembers  a particle’s particular parity.

The electromagnetic and strong interactions show mirror symmetry i.e.  invariance under the parity transformation.

Even if a coin is tossed identically every time, whichever side wins  initially has a slightly greater chance of winning averagely. So nature is not so simply symmetrical.
