“Life and Reality are not things you can have for yourself unless you accord them to all others. They do not belong to particular persons any more than the sun, moon and stars.”
-Alan Watts

Reality is whatever exists without descriptive baggages.

…………………………………………

Both idol-worship and celebrity culture rob us of realness.

Digital algorithms will keep on  replacing humans in more and more jobs.

…………………………………………

Provided universal basic income frees us of daily drudgery,

people will need to be occupied and content.

Our brain is the most advanced computing system in the known universe. It demands a supply of  purposeful tasks to stay active. Even playing virtual reality games serves the purpose.

It is evolutionarily tested that  virtual reality (  whether that be computer games, religious myths or unbridled consumerism ) saves our species in such situations.

…………………………………………

Virtual reality is not always encased inside an isolated box. Both religion and consumerism serve as virtual reality games. If you forget to pray, you lose points. If you can’t buy BMW, you lose points.

The meaning of life is just a fictional story- an instrument to enjoy some typical algorithmic sensations in neurons. It doesn’t matter whether the neurons are stimulated by digital  screen, by a packaged tour, or by thinking about an afterlife happiness.

A significant percentage of Jewish people keep themselves engaged in religious books and rituals.  Since the government provides them with the basic necessities of life, they do no work. These ‘deep’ players of virtual reality game report higher levels of life-satisfaction than any other section of Israeli society. Even in

global surveys of life satisfaction, Israel beats most other countries. That’s universal basic income in action!

Virtual reality games are more meaningful than work. Work is the means, virtual engazment is the goal!

…………………………………………

Our species is destined to playing  various virtual reality games  like religion, socialism, democracy, liberalism, consumerism, etc.

Meaning and matter are apparently alienated aspects of reality.

…………………………………………

Only Darwinian evolution by natural selection unites ‘matter’ with ‘meaning’ since the latter arises from the former.

Only Darwinian evolution by natural selection unites ‘matter’ with ‘life’ since the former evolved into the latter.

Until we know what consciousness actually is, we can’t explain our insatiable search for meaning……………………………………… …………………………………………………………………………..

“What can a meaning outside my condition mean to me? I can understand only in human terms.”

-Albert Camus

…………………………………………

“If I convince myself that this life has no other aspect than that of the absurd, if I feel that its whole equilibrium depends on that perpetual opposition between my conscious revolt and the darkness in which it struggles, if I admit that my freedom has no meaning except in relation to its limited fate, then I must say that what counts is not the best living but the most living.”
-Albert Camus

…………………………………………

.  ……………………………………..We often wonder if we can ever know or express what we actually are .

…………………………………………
Our worries don’t matter in a cosmic sense. It is a categorical error to assess the value of something by the wrong category of criteria.

…………………………………………
“Surely it matters to the torture victims whether they’re being tortured. It doesn’t require that this make some cosmic difference to the eternal significance of the universe for it to matter whether a human being is tortured.”

  • Kagan

    …………………………………………

The second law of thermodynamics (entropy keeps on  increasing) is the first law of life.
…………………………………………

Living bodies need to combat entropy by doing something “extropic”. We do not need any meaning higher than such evolutionary obligations. After all, we are entropic entities.
